What are signs of Capsular Contracture?

SERVING SCOTTSDALE, PHOENIX, GILBERT, MESA, CHANDLER AND ARIZONA

Capsular Contracture (CC) is where the sac of scar tissue that forms around all implants becomes hard and at times, painful. Usually the first thing that a patient may notice is that the breast looks different or smaller. Then they may notice it feels different, maybe more firm. These are the early signs of CC and I tell my patients to come in for an appointment if they see any of these signs. At times, early massage can help avoid the need for surgery.
