Larger breast implants can produce a fuller look, but alone may not be enough to address ptosis (sagging) of breast tissue. Of course, the placement of your breast implants will play a role in this. Larger implants placed above the muscles in the chest require more natural tissue to provide coverage. This can, in some cases, give the appearance of a lift without the addition of mastopexy. However, as with all aspects of breast surgery, this will vary completely from woman to woman.

Breast lift surgery (mastopexy) addresses sagging breast tissue – producing a firm, perky, and more youthful look to the chest. However, depending on how much ptosis (sagging) is present, this procedure may also slightly decrease breast size.
Dr. Corey and I are commonly asked during consultations about the appearance of scars after a procedure. Surgery procedures like breast augmentation, tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), breast lift (mastopexy), and facelift surgery all require incisions to produce the results most cosmetic surgery patients seek. There is no such thing as scar less surgery… yet!
